Tips for Straightening semi frizzy hair?

I have a party that I would love stick straight, shiny, great hair for. My hair is wavy and a little frizzy. I have straightened it many times but i want it to look really good. I have a chi straightener, I just need some techniques THANKS!!

I use those clippy things (you know the ones that the stylists use when they cut your hair?) to get my top layer out of the way while I straighten the underneath. I use two straighteners- this one wet to dry one and then this goldplated one afterwards... then I let the top layer down and straighten that. It usually lasts pretty long... you just have to look in the mirror and make sure you get all the kinks out and stuff. The goldplated straighteners are good for leaving it shiny. wow... i'm a hair dork.

Your hair sounds a lot like mine, and I straighten mine every day. Go over it really slow when you straighten it, and go over each bit of hair a few times. (Don't forget to use heat protectant, or this much straightening might damage your hair!) A cute look might be to turn the straightener in at the ends to give your hair a little curl at the bottom.

It might also help to have a friend help you straighten it, especially the back. The back of your hair will look so much better if you have someone else do it, because let's face it, straightening that hair puts your arm at an awkward angle, and it won't look as good as the rest. Good luck!

I use a product from Citre Shine, called shine miracle, it's an anti frizz and shine product, it's awesome!
