I'm a girl with wavy frizzy hair that I spend time straightening every day BUT will be backpack

I'm going with three guys and we will be there for three weeks so I know I won't have time to straighten it at all. I need advice on the best way to deal with my hair (curl it with mousse?). How do you deal with frizzy hair in a short time period w/o straightening it?

Anna, I have curly, curly hair. It frizzes and knots up, and it takes so much time to get it to together, that it drives me nuts. I was also in the military though, and at times, my days required me to focus... how would you say... a little "less" on my hair?

I got a perfect solution for you if you're up for it. Get your hair braided. I'm talking French braid, corn rows, something that goes into your scalp. It would last you almost flawlessly for three weeks, and you won't have to worry about electrically curling or primping your hair. And, contrary to want some people say, you can wash hair even with braids.

Other than that, you could just bring some hair gel and try wearing it down, but if you're hair is like mine... backpacking may cause it to poof up in a very unbecoming way.

Basically, once you relax it chemically you'll forever change your hair, but it will not be permanently straight anyway. Fog, rain, and bad wearing would still leave you with frizz and disorder above the hair line, and then you also have to deal with constantly relaxing the new growth. Report It

there is this stuff you can get at sallys beaty online or at the store its to make the friz stay down and works wonders all you do is pit a dime size in your had and brush it threw you can leave it down that way or put in in a pony tail without looking a mess.

put it up in a messy pony tail and bring tons of hairspray or gel or mousse or whatever to make it not frizzy on the top... but just put it up that's your best bet

If you straighten it everyday you could just save time by relaxing it. If you want to wear your natural sometimes when your in Europe than relaxing it won't be a good idea because it lasts about 3 months.

when your hair is damp get a nega hold gel and "scrunch" your hair in sections, also to help the frizz you could try putting an anti-frizz spray or cream on before you scrunch it, then finish the style with hairspray and you shouldn`t have a problem! good luck!

Chop it all off, it's the only option- just joking, i hate my new 'do, but thats a different story.

You can get straight creams and you can wash your hair with anti-frizz shampoo.

Are you sure you couldn't straighten it, though. You could spend 10 mins with portable straigheners- give it some thought.

Or maybe you could dcide to just give you're hair a break for a few weeks, and leave it natural. You could tie it in a pontail etc.
