From what i know, it lasts for like 3-6months, if you take care of it maybe even a year. The only problem is the roots, you have to go back to re-touch up the roots like every 2 weeks. It works on all hair types, but the re-touch ups are expensive and you have to do frequently.

I have really curly hair..and my stylist actually used a perm to straighten it...it lasted about three months and worked beautifully..all she did is put the solution on it and comb it out for 20 minutes.

It lasts until your hair grows back, then it will be curly at the roots. I also think it is like 3 or 400 dollars.

I'm African American and I do relax or "perm" my hair. My cousin is a beautician. She's relaxed alot of different womens hair. Black, White, Latina's. It can be done. I have to relax my hair about once a month. When the "new growth" starts to come in I start to blow dry it to get it to be more managable. ( get a comb through it ). After about a month I go ahead and get it relaxed again. I do this myself with the kits from the beauty supply store. But i've been doing it for years now. If you're thinking about relaxing your curly hair and blow drying and straitning combes are'nt your deal...It's best to ask a beautician. Calling won't help, it's important that the beautician be able to take a look at your hair. They need to know what they're working with. Hope this helps. Good luck.
