Best shampoo/conditioner for smoothing down the hair, preparing it for straightening?

My hair if left to dry naturally is poofy and kinky and very wavy. My hair is also split quite far up the hair shaft so im not using my hair straightners anymore.

Im trying to find something that will smooth my hair down, so much so that i dont have to straighten it.

something which fits frizz, has smoothing agents to get rid of kinks and waves????

just use normal shampoo and conditionar, but before you straighten your hair put straightning syrum (or whatever itscalled) into your hair to stop it from drying out and going frizzy

garnier frutis, theres special shampoos you can buy to prepare for striaghting or curling!

its all in the conditioner. Try a leave-on conditioner. I don't know what I'd do without it. RUSK-SMOOTHER

I dont know if theres anything thatll be so good you wont have to straighten it if there is then by god it must be expensive.

I have the same problem my hair poofs real bad and frizzes so what i do is use PANTENE anti frizz shampoo and conditiioner it makes your hairy SILKY smooth and ready to straighten

and then after your done showering and you blow dry/air dry and straighten your hair, use a REDKEN milk product its SOOO amazing for removing frizz after your done straightening like its amazing i couldnt deal without it

i have the same type of hair as you..... i started useing herbal essance and every time i straighten my hair it looks amazing.... i also get tons of complements!

Mark hill. my mum uses that and her hair is dead straigh when she does it also treseme that is amazing. when you dry your hair use a brush as well and follow the dryer it'll be quite straight afetr that anyway also use a straightening serum for frizz.

ok my hair sounds alot like your but i still striaghten mine but here's what i've found out:

i have bought just abt every shampoo an d conditioner that claims to give you straight and smooth hair and i've found out their is no shampoo that will honestly do that so i just get a cheap one that smells good. as far as conditioner, i got dove[in a blue bottle] and it's for intensive damage and it's not too much either and i can honestly say i have less split ends and damage. so i'd recommend that

as far as your split ends; cut them now before they get worse. even if you have to sacrifice the length.

any brand is usually good. buy a brand that youve heard of cuz some brands that no one has really heard of is bad. buy the ones that are shampoo combined with conditioner becuase it works really well and you dont have to use conditioner and then some shampoo. sometimes it would say what it does on the bottle too so read it before you buy it!

umm first you should wash you hair with herbal essences products, then towl dry! you hair and massage 2 or 3 drops of sun silk strighing mousse / gell (its a purple bottle) then with a hair dryer and a round brush dry you hair staright, also when drying you hair make sure you hair dryer has a thin nozzel so its easyer to dry you hair with a round brush...i do this every day ...i don't need a starighner any more! it works great!!

There is an excellent product ... it's called BioSilk. They have a bunch of products, but their best one is called Silk Therapy. It's a clear, liquidy product that pours out. You only need a dime-sized amount. You put it between your palms, rub together a little, then smooth throughout your hair. At first you're thinking how is this going to even work on my hair? But OMGosh the stuff makes your hair SO shiny and frizz-less!

But get a good cleansing shampoo to use while you use this product, it does leave a lot of buildup in time if you don't use a good clarifying or volumizing shampoo.

i have the same kinf of hair and i have just descovered a miracile product the make matrix shampoo its in a orange bottle i think u can only get it from hair dressers but i can promise u it is the best even after all the desingers i have tried them all lol
