I have straight hair so my answer might not be correct but think about it. If you apply like 430 degrees to your hair(my sister has curly hair and her straightning iron goes to 430) every day. thats gonna apply alot more damage than getting a perm once and having it last for at least a week!

perms cause a ton of damage to your hair and if you ask any hair stylist you're better off just straighting your hair everyday. But if you do decide to go with the perm straightining it does stay for a long time and it's less hassle to deal with everyday but it takes a toll on your hair.And remember that if you have curly hair you have the choice to wear it curly or straight so you have more diversity.

Plus, one day you just might want your hair curly again, and you wont be able to get it without cutting all your hair off and re-growing it, which sucks.... BELIEVE ME...

I have curly hair too, I just bought a new flat iron, its a Sedu.. it works GREAT, and it doesn't take that long to straighten my hair like it did before....

Perms do not always work the same when trying to obtain straight hair that is already curly. Neither are good for your hair........But if you want to do it, go to a quality slaon and get a quality straightening process......it lasts much longer than a perm and does less damage than either perm or iron....Why straighten it every day...many people pay for curls, I am sure you are very pretty with the curls...why not alternate different hairstyles...full curls, straight, some curls, you can create so many different look instead of one basic....

Best to get a perm once in a while. The heat from the straightner eventually makes kinks in the hair which will lead to other problems later.
