Does straightening your hair damage it a lot?

If i use a straightening iron about twice or once a month would there be noticeable damage?

Once or twice a month won't do anything. I've been told not to use my straightener more than once or twice a WEEK, so you should be fine. However, you might want to get some heat protector spray to put on your hair pre-heat. Try Tressme...I have their heat spray and I love how it protects my hair AND makes it really soft!

Um, no. Your hair only gets noticeably damaged if you straighten everyday or so.

Twice a month isn't bad at all.

Everyday.. Well, I'm sure that's bad unless if you think your hair can handle it.

Use a ceramic staightener. It won't damage your hair badly.

Does straightening your hair damage it a lot?

not if you

-use a heat protecter such as VIE, Chi 44, etc

- only use it once a month

-keep your hair healthy by drinking water

-not letting your scalp/hair get to dry

-keeping a lot of strain off your hair ( switch up your ponytail)

I straighen my hair every other day, and it doesn't look damaged at all, so once or twice a month won't make it look damaged.. Just make sure you use a heat-protecting spray while your hair is still damp. If you really want to make sure your hair doesn't get damaged, deep condition every couple months.
