Those who did rebonding(permanent straightening)of hair, Are you happy with the results? How do you

Japanese style *thermal rebonding/reconditioning/heat straightening*? yes, and I loved it. I have slightly coarse, very thick, untameable wavy hair. I had it done in early december and it lasted me until may *probably longer, but i chopped all my hair off*. it softened my hair, it was silky, shiney and straight. Depending on the system the stylist uses it really depends on the aftercare, they will tell you EVERYTHING. They should give a consultation for free *not everyone can have it done, if you lightened, bleached, relaxed or permed your hair it isn't the best idea*. get someone who is experienced and has some history with it, call around, see if they will give you a clients testimonial. My partner has crazy bernadette peters curls and he LOVES this process. its pricey, and if its less then 200, find a new place to do it. it takes hours, and they have to flat iron hair in tiny tiny sections, or when you wash it, it will break off. A chemical buzz cut will occur if you have iron marks when they iron it, hence such tiny sections. you should just use the products they reccomend, some places inculde the products in the price. I really like the sleek.look line for aftercare of it. Any moisturizing or smoothing system should work in a pinch. my hair took me 20 minutes to blow dry and flat iron after the process, down from 2 hours before the process. Its an amazing proceedure, if you are able to take care of it with proper products and you are a procandidate, and you get it done by a talented stylist, GO FOR IT. Its my favourite service to do *aside from extensions*. Im an apprentice stylist, I learned in salon and practised on guinea pigs *friends, family, co-workers* and they all love it, my apartment regularly smells of thio because I charge too little...Grrr...
