How to avoid greasy hair after straightening?

After i straighten my bangs in the morning for school, they start to look greasy and gross around like noon time. I straighten them at about 6:30 in the morning. Does anyone know how to prevent this, or some product or something to stop it?

The baby powder answer is true. Though it does work best on lighter hair. Take it from someone with black hair.

You shoud also try washing your hair every other day. You can actually make your hair greasier by washing it every day. Washing your hair every day can cause it to become too dry, which in turns causes your hair follicles to produce more oil to make up for the dryness.

Take a little bit of baby powder or cornstarch and run it through your bangs (make sure you fluff it out enough so you can't see it anymore). It will absorb oil as the day goes on. Also, when you are putting conditioner in your hair when you wash it try to avoid your scalp and bangs if your hair is that oily. Your natural oils should be more than sufficient to keep your roots from drying out.

this is from the oil on your forehead , OK this is what you do...powder your forehead and your hair line really well in the morning and in school around 10-11 am. also when you do your bangs in the morning, spray them with hair spray ,let it dry then brush it out, the spray soaks up the oil on them. you can bring a little can and comb to school too. i swear this will work!
