I like Wella flat iron spray which leaves your hair smooth and shiny but it does not seem to like the rain.. or maybe that is just my hair. I also like the new Loreal cream that is endorsed by Beyonce at the moment... bright pink bottle. You only need a small amount and it does work at smoothing your hair, protects you when you straighten and leaves an incredibly shine. I find that you do have to wash your hair more often though..

The better thing to do would be to invest in a quality straightener. The Chi is on of the best. It has ceramic plates and is highly recommended from beauticians. The better the straightener, the less damage to hair.

I use either Trever Sorbie's Straightening Balm or Wella's System Professional Hydro Milk. Both need to be used on wet hair. I prefer the Trevor Sorbie balm - I straighten my hair nearly every day and people always comment on how shiny and full of body my hair looks.
Oh! and GHDs are the best hair straighteners.

I have GHD irons and you can buy their straightening protection spray as well. I had the spray oil. Has the same design on the bottle as the GHD box (black with gold bits). Works v.well for me. I have masses of thick coloured hair with lots of kinks/waves (not curls).

They are both really good, you don't need to use a lot and they leave your hair soft, smooth and very shiny.
