How can I defrizz hair without straightening?

I currently straighten with a hairdryer and heated straightener. I have chemically straightened, but it doesn't work well either. Are there products to help?

You might be one of those that needs more heat. I have this electrical straightener that goes to 400 degrees and it doesnt work most of the time. I have to use my good old stove and flat iron for the heat i need in my hair. It works really well. Also before you straighten your hair, wash it really well until it pretty much squeaks, condition, rinse that out really really well and then get out of the shower. Dont leave anything in it. Then get a glosser. I use IC hair polisher daily hair treatment. Its a clear bottle with a round white lid. Dry your hair with a towel so its still a little wet, but not dripping. Put it on your hair BEFORE you start to blow dry it. Make sure your hair is completely dry before you start to straighten it. If its still a little wet, your hair wont get as straight as you want it so make very sure. Then when you straighten your hair, (i dont know if you have a stove and flatiron or a plug-in flatiron) make sure its hot enough for your hair. To test that, you could start with a very small section in the back and straighten it and see if its enough for you. If its not, then you need to wait a little longer for it to heat up. Dont be afraid of some steam from your hair or from the flatiron. If you are worried about that, then get one ply of toilet paper, and close your straightener around it. If it burns the paper, its too hot. If it completely flattens the paper its good. Dont put anymore relaxers in your hair. I dont need to in order to get my hair good and straight. Blow dry you hair get some Straightening gel and put the hair gel in then blow dry your hair and then it will b straight but i thing that u should get it do at a hair salon .....!!

Try a hot oil treatment...that works for me sometimes. Or you can also try Frizz Ease. Or even some hair sprays...spray it in your hand and rub through your hair.
